AngleCam use the following equipment:

Helicopters - The Remote Control Helicopters that Anglecam use are 80cc Gasoline powered machines specially designed to enable them to carry the additional weight of a camera and downlink equipment. The heart of the system is the bespoke designed camera mounting system which attaches to the helicopter. The camera mounting system enables the operator to pan and tilt, and roll ( artificial horizon ) the camera in order to achieve the desired shot.

Power - The Helicopters are powered by a 7.5 hp two-stroke engine which have been selected following rigorous testing for reliability, power and smooth running. This is essential for the safe, smooth and reliable flight allowing image capture with out exhaust smoke in frame.

Camera System - Anglecam are able to accept a variety of cameras for carriage in the Helicopter. We specialise in DV Cam recording at source i.e. actually on board the helicopter. This ensures that the master copy is as high a quality as possible. In addition to this the helicopter also incorporates a microwave downlink, this is used to send real time camera pictures to a monitor located in our ground support vehicle or other ground based location. The link enables the camera operator/and or director/producer to position the camera for the desired shot, this is achieved through a special remote control system. We are also able to provide secondary recording facilities using this link, this allows instant review of footage on the ground.

Radio Control - The systems are controlled by FCC and UK Radio agency approved remote control equipment which operate on dedicated frequencies throughout the world.
